Necessary Voices

Please join us for a dynamic Necessary Voices/UB Cares presentation next Thursday, October 13,
at 4:30 in Mandeville 104:

“Break Through! Ending Gender-Based Violence”

Joe Samalin, Senior Program Manager of BREAKTHROUGH, a global human rights organization working to end gender-based violence. Joe has a unique proposition:  that this generation of college students can, on their own, end violence and discrimination against women and girls.

How?

By disrupting the harmful gender norms and practices that we “accept” in society, we can transform the culture—now.  Breakthrough is helping college students across the nation break through the status quo, making violence and discrimination against women and girls unacceptable.  Joe will share Breakthrough’s vision of positive culture change and cutting-edge approach with us Thursday, October 13, at 4:30 in Mandeville 104.
