We are UB!

Come to a free tailgate at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3rd and then stay to cheer on our Men's Soccer team in the first game of the season. Show your UB pride by supporting our athletic teams and being loud!  Show your student ID for free food. We are UB!

Career FOCUS

Career Development is now offering a new online tool! FOCUS 2 is a free service that allows you to take self-assessments, explore careers and majors, and create a comprehensive career plan. Your assessment results will be matched to career options and majors/programs offered here at UB. FOCUS 2 will help you explore, and prepare for the career path that fits you! Library Hours

 Need a quiet place to study?

Monday – Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m.

  Friday 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m.

  Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

  Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.

During Mid-terms and Finals week the library hours are extended.

 

Health Insurance

For students registered for the Fall 2015 semester, this is a reminder that if you are a full time student, or a part-time student living on campus, you will be charged $1,660 for the UB health insurance. If you have comparable health insurance, you must waive out of your UB health insurance. The waiver is fully active starting Wednesday, July 1, 2015 and the DEADLINE (last day) to waive is Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

1:30 p.m.  Wacky Wednesday: Make Your Own Picture Frame.  Come to the Student Center for this free activity.  Sponsored by Student Programming Board (SPB)

7:00pm  Dessert with the Dean. Come to meet our Dean of Students, Edina Oestreicher, for a fun and friendly chat.   (Bodine Hall)

Friday, September 4

8:00 a.m.  Trip to Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. $15 for students and $20 for guests and staff.  Bus leaves from the intersection of University and Park Avenues.  For more information, visit the Student Programming Board office at room 228 in the Student Center.

9:00 a.m. Men's Soccer Walk on Tryout.  Bring your gear and waiver form to compete for a place on the team. (Knights' Field)

12:00p.m.  Student Ambassador applications are due.  Drop off your resume at the Admissions front desk (6th floor, Library)

7:00 p.m.  Women’s Soccer vs. American Int'l.   Come out to Knight's Field to see the UB ladies first home game for the season.

 

Saturday, September 5

3:00-6:00p.m.  Service on Saturday.  Join us in cooking dinner for the homeless veterans living at Homes For The Brave. Sign up in the Office of Campus Activities and Civic Engagement, Student Center 231 or jenniftu@bridgeport.edu. Space is very limited.

5:00 p.m.  Capture the T-shirt.  Here is a fun twist to the game Capture the Flag. Meet on the steps of the Student Center.  Sponsored by Student Programming Board.   (John J. Cox Student Center Front Steps)

Sunday, September 6

12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.  Beach Chill Out.  Come cool off at the beach with your friends, you can play some volleyball or just chill out on the sandy beach. You can bring your own refreshments. Meet at the Arch on Park Ave., we will head to the beach by 12:30 p.m.  Sponsored by Campus Activities and Civic Engagement
