The University of Bridgeport is excited to announce the opening of a Student Entrepreneur Center on campus for all matriculated University of Bridgeport students. 

The Student Entrepreneur Center will function as the center to accelerate the successful development of start-ups by providing student entrepreneurs with an array of targeted resources and services. The mission of this center is to produce successful businesses. The student can start any legal business including, but not limited to, products, services, not for profits, software, web based sales, etc. 

The Student Entrepreneur Center is staffed with 5 Entrepreneurs In Residence who are business professionals and has an open-work area with upscale workstations for the students use on campus at 250 Myrtle Ave., Bridgeport, CT at no charge to students. 

Any student interested in creating a business should complete the application, by visiting: http://www.bridgeport.edu/community-global-outreach/student-entrepreneur-center/ or email Entrepreneurship@Bridgeport.edu You will be notified by email to come in for an interview within 7 days. At the interview you will meet with one of the Entrepreneurs In Residence who will walk you through the process of becoming a member of the Center.

Dani the therapy dog will be here every other Tuesday, 12:00-2:00 p.m. at Counseling Services (Carstensen Hall) starting Tuesday, September 8th

Student Government Association senators for CPIA, Arts & Sciences, Engineering and Business.

Alternative Spring Break

Alternative break trips are student-led, university-sponsored trips. They’re a great way to experience a different community and explore social justice issues through service alongside communities.  While you travel, you can plan to do service, learn about social issues, live simply, and get to know your fellow travelers and host community. Administrative or academic faculty will be present on trips to support the learning experience and maintain administrative aspects.  Applications are due September 25th.  You can get more information in the Office of Campus Activities and Civic Engagement (Student Center, 231) or by emailing Jennifer Turner at  jenniftu@bridgeport.edu  

Professional Job Shadow Experience Week

Want to gain more professional experience? Apply to be a part of Professional Job Shadow Experience Week and get the chance to shadow a UB alumni working in your desired field for a day. Applications are available for Juniors and Sophomores in the Career Development Office! Contact Rachael Cuttitta at rcuttitt@bridgeport.edu for more information.
