Election Day 

Tuesday, November 3, 2015.  

The UB Shuttle will take students to City Hall to REGISTER to VOTE as well as to the polling location from 12:00-8:00p.m. on  Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, 2015, from the intersection of Park Avenue and University Avenue.

If you have not yet registered, THERE IS STILL TIME TO DO SO!  You can register to vote on Election Day if you are either registering to vote for the first time or would like to make Bridgeport your current place of residence. 
You MUST be an American citizen, be 18 years of age provide identification (driver’s license, UB ID or other state photo ID) and proof of residency (copy of a UB bill or utility bill or phone bill with a Bridgeport address) to register on Election Day.

UB Health Fair

The UB Health Fair will be on November 4,  Wednesday from 10:00a.m. - 3:00p.m. in Wheeler Recreation. This health fair is open to the public. Last year we had over 50 vendors and 400 participants. There will be free massages, giveaways, screenings, healthy raffle prizes and much more. 

Interfaith Immersion & Service Weekend 

 November 13-15th, 2015 
An Alternative Break Experience: During this weekend we will attend worship services at a local mosque, synagogue and church. We will also be working on a community service project. This will be a very unique communal experience with participants living, reflecting, working, learning and having fun together. You should register in the Office of Campus Activities & Civic Engagement, Student Center 231. Space is VERY limited. Volunteers Needed

The city of Bridgeport is looking for volunteers to pass out flyers and build awareness about the upcoming election on November 3rd.  If you are interested, please contact Bridgeport City Councilwoman, Melanie Jackson at 203-650-5888. 
Philosophy Lunch Table

Join UB faculty and students on November 4th at 12:30 p.m. in the Hub for a rousing lunch of interaction and dialogue intended to expand the mind while you satisfy your palate! Each month, on the first Wednesday of the month, we will have a speaker who presents a fifteen minute question in philosophy. We then spend the rest of the hour discussing, thinking, arguing, and enjoying the intellectual roundtable. No background but an inquisitive mind is required!

Personal Wellness Challenge

UB Student Health Services has partnered with the Naturopathic Program, Counseling Services, Career Development and Dining Services to start a 14 day personal wellness challenge on November 9. It is $15. This will include in person boot camp fitness, nutrition, yoga, career, natural approaches to wellness, relaxation classes as well as emailed daily fitness classes. Space is very limited. Please reserve your spot or ask for more information by emailing healthservices@bridgeport.edu. The first meeting is on November 9 at 12:15. When we are filled, we will start a waiting list for the next challenge.  We encourage groups, teams and friends to sign up together for support. Sign up quickly, as we expect this to fill quickly.
