Welcome Back!

Fellow Purple Knights:

Welcome to the Spring semester! I hope that this message finds you excited and ready to take on a new semester. There are so many wonderful things in store for you, both inside and outside the classroom. I am looking forward to sharing that experience with you in the coming months.

As the new Director of Campus Activities and Civic Engagement, my goal is to highlight all the great things we’re doing as a community, and make every member of the UB family feel like this is their home away from home. One of the best ways to do that is to get involved! The Student Programming Board (SPB), Student Government Association (SGA), Greek Organizations, Community Service Projects, and 50+ clubs offer so many ways to be engaged, meet new people, and find your place at UB. I encourage you to visit our Club Fair next Monday, February 1^st from 4:00-6:00p.m. in the Student Center Social Room. This is a great opportunity to meet club leaders and learn about their organization.

If you have any questions about student life and getting involved or just want to say “hi”, please visit the Campus Activities and Civic Engagement Office in room 231 of the Student Center. I look forward to meeting you throughout the semester!

University Singers

Come and sing with the University Singers as we prepare for this semester’s International Festival on April 9th and A Salute to Hollywood on April 20th! All who sing are welcome (students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members) and we rehearse in Room 110 ABC each Tuesday from 3:00-5:45. Those with a 3 or 4:30 class MAY still be able to participate by special arrangement with the conductor. Contact Professor Martignetti at fmartign@bridgeport.edu with questions.
