We Are One - Photo Contest

 The International Center for Students and Scholars, together with Office of Housing, Residential Life and Community Standards, Student Financial Services, & the Office of the Registrar, will be hosting a Photo Contest Coffee Hour on April 6, 2017 as a part of UB’s International Festival Week (April 3 – April 8, 2017). The theme of the photo contest is: “We Are One.”We are inviting students, staff, and faculty of UB to join in the contest and submit your photos that represent, to you, our common human spirit which is shared across all countries and cultures.  We are looking for photos that speak to you about the things we all share as people of any culture, and that bring us together as a diverse world community.

 Don’t miss your opportunity to share your thoughts and photos! Email your photo along with a 3-4 sentence description to us at internationaloffice@bridgeport.edu. All submissions must be received by March 29, 2017to be included in the contest! All photos and descriptions will be displayed and voted on as a part of our Photo Contest Coffee Hour on April 6, 2017.

 

  UB 2nd Annual Business Plan Competition

Scholarships Available

Applications for the UB Phi Kappa Phi Chapter “Love of Learning” Scholarship are now available!

Students must have earned between 45-60 credits and have a minimum 3.5 GPA

Scribe Newspaper

The Office of the Dean of Students is now accepting applications for the 2017/2018 Editor-in-Chief position of The Scribe, the campus newspaper. The Scribe is published approximately one time a month during the school year (fall and spring semesters). 

Applicants must be UB undergraduate students, majoring in Mass Communication or a relevant field and previous experience in journalism is desired.  $750 per semester compensation will be provided to the successful candidate. Applicants must submit the following documents,via email as ONE FILE ATTACHMENT, to Dean Edina Oestreicher, deanofstudents@bridgeport.edu, by Friday, March 24, 2017:

  1. Cover letter, showing your interest in the position and explaining why you are a good fit (one page).
  2. Complete resume/CV, indicating your academic status and major at UB (two pages).
  3. One writing sample, preferably for journalism purposes (750-1000 words).
